A large-scale installation project with Garfield as the central character. Operating as a stand-in for myself in a variety of self portraiture, and a modern American reincarnation of the mythic trickster figure, Garfield reflects on the romantic language of music, iconography, and self-indulgence, showcasing the power of using a mascot as a middleman in making the acts of oversharing and self-destruction more digestible. Over 300 drawings, prints, paintings, and sculptural objects were produced for this project.
