Perfect replicas of all the drawings, personal letters, birthday cards, Christmas greetings, and notes passed in class that my closest friend in graduate school and I have exchanged with each other throughout our time in the Art Institute of Chicago. What started as a form of intimacy that developed from close approximation in studios, same classes, and gestural acts of friendship later devolved into a self-initiated, one-sided intimacy through obsessively learning how to perfectly replicate their handwriting, drawing style, and the ways in which they depict both myself and them. The following facsimiles retain all their original content and design, only the name and depiction of my friend have been changed.
